SciWhyLab

    First Symposium

    titled

'Scientists and Engineers in the Literary Arts' (SELA)

    on Friday, December 2, 2022 (5:00 p.m. onwards)
    at Committee Room,
School of Computational and Integrative Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University,
    New Delhi
Have you always thought science and the literary arts as twains that shall never meet! Can practicing scientists write meaningful fiction, poetry or inspirational books? And, if so, then have you ever treated such scientists as two individuals harbored in one or two distinct brains stored in the same head?

SCIS’s SciWhyLab invites you to engage in a lively discussion on this subject as it brings to you the integration of two disparate looking themes of human endeavor. On December 2nd, interact with three such practitioners from science, engineering and management as they share their thoughts and experiences on having seamlessly taken to literary writing. Know about the recent trends in writing taken up by such professionals and find out if human literary activities help or hinder the scientific abilities of such individuals.
